For the clearest scan, you should wear tight-fitting clothing that shows your body as much as possible while receiving a 3D body scan. Typically, this means wearing tight undergarments, such as body-tight shorts, sports bras, or boxer briefs. The scan can’t see through your clothes, so it will interpret your clothing as part of your body measurements. Whatever you wear to your first scan should be what you wear to subsequent scans.

First and foremost, we will have a consultation to discuss your health and wellness goals and what treatments might be best to achieve them. During the consultation, we’ll talk with you about whether we think a Fit3D body scan is right for you.
2
Once we determine a Fit3D body scan in Overland Park is right for you, we’ll schedule your body scan appointment. We’ll have you stand on the body scanner, and it will slowly spin you around while capturing a complete image of your body with a special camera. You can trust that the scan won’t take long—it will only last about 35 seconds. Once your scan is finished, our specialist will guide you through every step to make sure you get accurate results.

Based on the information provided from the Fit3D body scan, we’ll be able to better determine where you are in your health and wellness journey and what treatments would best work to achieve your goals. We can take multiple scans throughout your time with MaxLife, so we can best keep track of your body measurements and adjust treatment if necessary.
Post-Care
There are no post-test instructions you’ll need to worry about—you can return to normal life immediately after your Fit3D body scan. We’ll simply suggest scheduling another appointment within 2–4 weeks to ensure you’re on track with your wellness journey.
If you’re undergoing a fitness program, chances are you’re gaining muscle and losing fat. Muscle is denser than fat, so you might have the same measurements while gaining weight according to the scale. Getting an accurate understanding of your body through imaging is important because, even though the number on the scale is increasing, you might actually be improving your health!
To accurately track how your body shape and composition are changing, you should get a 3D body scan every 2 to 4 weeks.
The Fit3D v4.0 algorithm predicted body fat to within 5% accuracy 90.4% of the time (85.2% accuracy on women and 92.6% accuracy on men).
The Fit3D body scans show a full 3D image of the body’s dimensions, while DEXA scans show 2D scans of the body with colored sections depicting areas of fat, muscle, and bone.
The integrated scale on the scanner can handle up to 400 pounds.
